Quick and Easy! The original Groucho's is in Cola...that's Columbia, SC for the out-of-staters. Harold "Groucho" Miller was a typical entrepreneur that thought he had something special. Indeed he did! Groucho's isn't known for having the same food that other sandwich shops have. Groucho's is known for unique sauces and salads. After living in Cola for a number of years, I was happy to see Groucho's open a location across the street from one of the South's top-rated universities...Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. The food is great and the recipes are the same as the original location. The crowd is a mix of Winthrop professors and students, and locals. The service at Groucho's is always friendly, but they realize their priority is to take orders and deliver food. The price is moderate and the portions aren't skimpy. If you haven't eaten at a Groucho's, you should try it at least once. Try: The Brown Moose with a Sweet, Malty, Buttery Rogue Dead Guy Ale

Food was good but service not so much. The lady on the registrar was new and that's not always good for a lunch rush. Orders were piling up in the take window. Unfortunately, she couldn't multi task. The manager came out the back from making sandwiches to help her, thankfully. Waited on food... Waited on drinks longer... Good food but don't go here if you are in a rush

We were in Rock Hill yesterday for a soccer tournament and only had 1.5 hours in between matches. We were hungry but needed someplace we could get in and out of quickly. It didn't help that it was lunch time, so crowded. There were lots of food joints to choose from, but I'm glad we chose this one. Really fresh deli sandwiches, lots of variety on the menu w/ bread choices and deli meats. Fast efficient service. Delish!

Went here today with my wife. She had the "my wife's salad". I had the dtp special. My sandwich looked big.... Until I picked it up. The bread smushed in and I thought, OK, fluffy white bread. Until I bit into it. More like rubbery. Not being the pessimistic type. I gave her, (my wife) a bite. She was not impressed. I ate the three bites that were left of it, only to notice that my wife had stopped eating her salad all together. When I asked her what was wrong, she slid the basket over to me. One taste of it and I knew. Soggy, limp, lettuce. Neither of us would finish it. This was our first and last time we go to this place.

AMAZING. There was a location by my college at the beach and I missed it so much when I moved home. Then realized there was a grouchos in Rock Hill. I get the STP with turkey only - and the sauce/chips OMG. And seriously.. Why is the sweet tea so good here?!

Just had lunch at Groucho's Deli. Very friendly and helpful wait staff. It was a decent place to stop for a quick lunch. We had corned beef sandwiches on Jewish rye bread. EXCELLENT flavor. HOWEVER...not much to the sandwich. Not like the deli sandwiches I have grown up on. The cost was good, only $6.39, but very little meat. Perhaps to keep the cost down. I would have preferred to pay an extra dollar and have a half of a sandwich to take with me, rather than feeling hungry when I left. Yes, I will give it one more try while visiting Rock Hill. The menu is long with many delectable sounding items.

This was ok, but I'd prefer it more for lunch. The portions were a bit small. I got a small "reuben" type sandwich with a bag of generic chips for about $6. They menu says the turkey is fresh, but it's lunchmeat turkey. The menu also says they use only the freshest ingredients, yet their mushrooms are canned. They charge 29 cents extra for extra lettuce - I've never seen that anywhere. They have a surprisingly decent amount of beer, but that's probably because Winthrop University is steps away. They have everything from PBR and the "new" old recipe Schlitz to your cratfy IPA and wheats like Son of a Peach. That was probably the best thing about it. I might go again for lunch, but again, there's both a Jesey Mike's and a Penn Station up the road serving a lot fresher stuff with bigger portions for the same price.

I would have never know about Groucho's if Groupon didn't introduce us, so I must thank Groupon for hooking us up. I checked out Groucho's this afternoon and felt like I was back in college since it seemed to be all Wingate kids, except I had no rubber stamp on my hand from the night before and wasn't hungover. Regardless, it was so packed we ended up sitting at the counter facing Cherry Rd and WU campus. I thought the situation would be like a typical deli but turns out it's a sit down kind of place. Service was super quick and friendly, we were greeted right when we sat and had our sandwiches about 5 minutes after we ordered. I got the Brown Moose which was fantastic and you must try the Formula 45 sauce if you go--a nice combo of 1000 Island and French dressing. Funky? Yes. Tasty? Hell yes. Plus they have Dr. Brown's soda which just knocks my socks off so I was pleased with that. They have a lot of sandwiches so it can be overload but they have a decent selection of salads as well. They had a good number of beers and different coffee drinks on the menu (at prices cheaper than Starbucks) Parking in their lot was a bit tight but you could also do street parking if you can't find anything. If you're in the Wingate area and looking for a satisfying, quick meal at a reasonable price, check out Groucho's!

This is a great place for lunch or to hang out with friends. They always have new and fun beers to try and the service is always great. Something I wish they could improve upon are the tough hoagie rolls on some of the sandwiches, so you definitely can't have dentures to enjoy, but they have other amazing sandwiches to eat! Wish they had more of a chip variety as well, considering it's their main side, but I quickly forget all my complaints when I hear the music there. All around great place.

Love me some Groucho's! Unique place with great sandwiches. Portions aren't huge, but for the price they are just right. You will leave feeling satisfied, not stuffed. Formula 45 sauce makes everything AMAZING!

Every sandwich I have ordered is great. I love their signature dressing. Unlike most sandwich shops who pour mayo or other dressings on their subs, the veggies are tossed with the signature dressing. I will definately visit again.

STP Dipper! Although not the same as the original in 5 Points, this joint is great and the food is on time.

Good selection, perfect "hometown deli" kind of place.
